Ashlie Tainer | Program director

Ashlie grew up in Portland, Oregon, where she gained an appreciation for the environment and a strong sense of belonging. She went on to pursue her passion and earned a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Oregon, with minors in Environmental Studies and Business. She also received a Masters in Environmental Studies from Evergreen State College, and spent four years leading international service learning programs where her knowledge of environmental education and equity expanded. Ashlie is a two-time AmeriCorps alum, bringing with her an expertise in the member experience, as well as skills in community outreach and facilitation to help empower the next generation of environmental stewards and leaders.
When she’s not working, Ashlie enjoys spending time outside paddle boarding, camping and wine tasting. You can also find her catching up on her favorite true crime podcasts and trying to find a way to put chocolate on almost everything.
Alagia felix |operations coordinator

Alagia Felix was born in Brooklyn, New York and is a reformed Portlander whose work is grounded in community, culture, and land-based justice. She earned her undergraduate degree in Theater, a foundation that continues to shape her approach to storytelling, facilitation, and public engagement. Alagia is an AmeriCorps alum, having served in Atlanta supporting inner-city youth in gaining access to green industries as a pathway toward economic empowerment, land stewardship, and the rememory of ancestral knowledge. Her work has included independent study and research on urban farming in Peru, Puerto Rico, and Accra, Ghana. Past roles include community engagement and affordable housing advocacy with Verde/Living Cully and Community Alliance of Tenants.
When she’s not working, Alagia loves spending time in the mountains and near the ocean, drawing inspiration from landscapes that reflect both movement and grounding.
Megan Brown | Recruitment and program COORDINATOR

Born and raised in Portland, OR, Megan earned a Bachelor's degree in International Studies from the University of Oregon, with minors in Food Systems and Spanish. She joined Confluence in April 2024 as the Recruitment and Program Coordinator, bringing with her a background in volunteer management, a passion for environmental justice, and a drive to help build more sustainable and just communities through compassion and empowerment. Megan is excited to use her experience to help guide and develop our future environmental leaders and AmeriCorps members in Oregon.
